MR. RANA KAPOOR FELICITATED FOR OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTION TOWARDS PROMOTING INDO-AUSTRALIAN BILATERAL RELATIONS

New Delhi, July 25, 2017: Mr. Rana Kapoor, MD & CEO, YES BANK and Chairman, YES Global Institute was felicitated for his outstanding contribution towards promoting Indo-Australian bilateral relations, at the Indo-Australian Business Summit organized by Indo-Australian Chamber of Commerce, in New Delhi. The felicitation was done by Leonie Muldoon,

Minister Commercial and Senior Trade and Investment Commissioner, South Asia, Australian Trade and Investment Commission.

On receiving the accolade, Mr. Rana Kapoor, MD & CEO, YES BANK and Chairman, YES Global Institute said, “The Indo-Australia Chamber of Commerce’s award for Outstanding Contribution towards Promoting Indo-Australian Bilateral Relations, is a truly significant recognition and I am deeply honoured to receive it. I am confident that the upcoming Australian Business Week in India will lead to a more collaborative approach towards fostering and deepening innovation in the two countries, and will further strengthen the bilateral ties. I once again express my sincere gratitude to the IACC for bestowing this valued honour on me.”

India and Australia are built on shared values of democracy, inclusiveness and diversity and the two nations have entered into several landmark agreements for promoting civil aviation security, health and medicine, environment and climate, amongst others.

In the past few years, YES BANK has endeavored to boost its operations in the India – Australia corridor for trade and investments.  In 2013, YES BANK entered into a strategic agreement with Australian Trade Commission, to boost Indo-Australian trade opportunities. 

YES BANK is also currently working with Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (CSIRO) and Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR) as Private Sector Partner in a project for Sustainable Agriculture Intensification in West Bengal and Bangladesh and as Expert Panel Member in a project on Policy Research in Food-Energy-Water Nexus in the Eastern Gangetic Plain.
